Luxury Yacht damage survey-hydralic steering system failure
The yacht had gone to sea with the owner and his friend onboard for fishing and upon their return to Palm Jebel Ali and upon entering the break waters and with speed of approximately 20 knots the electro hydraulic steering system of the yacht failed and incidentally the yacht ran aground at the break waters.
Upon our inspection the yacht was noted to be placed on stools on a flat barge. The entire length of the under keel was noted to have disintegrated and collapsed. It was noted that the yacht was submerged in water and the entire accommodation, navigational equipment and engine room had evidence of water marks and entire upholstery was noted damaged and upon the severity of the damaged sustained to the yacht. The repairing was considered not feasible.
